Pizhichil
Pizhichil refers to squeezing. This is a specialized Ayurvedic treatment that includes massage with warm herbal oil.
What is Pizhichil
Pizhichil is also known as kaya seka, tail seka, or sarvang sneha dhara. It is a treatment procedure in which herbal oils or ghee are poured over the body of the patient along with a massage in a monitored stream for a fixed duration of time. It is a type of Parishek Sweda (steam therapy).
Parishek Sweda: Stream pouring, sprinkling, or showering of warm herbal decoctions to pacify doshas is called Parishek Sweda.
